On Thursday 17 January 2008, we celebrate a quarter of a century on-the-air with a host of special guests. It all began on 17 January 1983 when 成人快手 Radio Devon broadcast its first ever programme, taking over local programmes from a 成人快手 Radio 4 regional service. Cornwall got its own 成人快手 local radio station on the same day 25 years ago. Over the past quarter of a century, 成人快手 Radio Devon has built a loyal following of listeners with a distinctive mix of news, information and entertainment. Alan Dedicoat To mark the special day, many of the station's most popular former presenters will return to the airwaves alongside their current counterparts. For some it will be a return after many years, including Alan Dedicoat, best known now as the voice of the balls on the National Lottery television programme. He'll be co-presenting the Countywide Breakfast Show with Dominic Busby from 8am on Thursday 17 January. On the mid-morning show, Judi Spiers will be taking a trip down memory lane with one of the station's longest serving presenters, as Tony Beard reveals the stories from behind the scenes during his many years working with the radio station. During the Lunchtime Phone-in, new host Michael Chequer will be joined by some of the former presenters of the agenda-setting show, including Ian Phillips and David Bassett. David Bassett Listeners to Richard Green's Afternoon Show can catch up with some former afternoon hosts, including Tony Gillham and Janet Kipling. The Evening News Hour will remember the days when Good Evening Devon, as it was once called, was presented by John Lilley, now the Head of 成人快手 South West. He'll be recalling the early days when he and Roy Corlett, the first manager of 成人快手 Radio Devon, co-hosted the show. The day of celebration will be rounded off with a four hour special show, Radio Devon Recaptured, hosted by Douglas Mounce and Ian Brass - two of Radio Devon's longest serving presenters. They'll be catching up with old friends and former colleagues to remember the old days and look at what 成人快手 Radio Devon has achieved since it began 25 years ago. At 10pm the John Govier Late Night Radio Show will wind up the day with guests including Chris Langmore and Howard James, the duo responsible for the long running Late Night Sou'West show which was broadcast throughout the region for many years. last updated: 17/01/2008 at 10:22 Have Your SayWe'd love to hear your memories of listening to 成人快手 Radio Devon over the past 25 years.
