Q: How did Tall Blue Midget come about?
A: It all started in Swindon after boredom struck. I've been making music for two years and have been loving every minute of it, even rejection!
Q: It's a strange name...?
A: Tall Blue Midget! I hoped to create a name that would be remembered, therefore I thought up the oxymoron.
Q: What three words best describe your music?
A: Independent, astute and progressive.
Music making, Midget style.
Q: Give us some more information about your demo track.
A: It's track five on my album and it's called "Skyfight Technological Fiesta". The story behind it is lonely nights, bottomless coffee, Marlboro Lights and an acute feeling to create!
Q: How is the music created?
A: It's all me, Neil Hall, 23 and living in Exeter. I play electric guitar, MicroKorg synth and a Zoom MRS-1608 and use the PC software Fruity Loops, Acid Pro, Cubase, Thermin and Online VSTs.
Q: What's your view of the current music scene?
A: The current scene is pretentious, limited and soulless. A sweeping generalisation but I'm trying to sell my music as unique and new, do you blame me?!
Q: Any live perfomances yet?
A: As of yet I haven't performed live as I can't afford to and have no live equipment! It's in my diary though.
Q: What's your record collection hold?
A: Knifehandchop, Tom Waits, The Stone Roses, Neil Young, Jeff Buckley, Led Zepplin, Hixxy, Operation Ivy, Mylo, Adam Freeland, Kraftwerk, Tracy Chapman, Clinic, Rancid, Bob Dylan, Jimmy Eat World and The Beach Boys.

Q: Which three people, alive or dead, fictional or factual, would you invite to dinner?
A: Bill Hicks, a huge influence, a comic genius and honest. JFK, he made a huge political change for the positive and Ian Brown, a confident, charismatic front-man.
Q: Complete the sentence, "When I become famous..."
A: I will purchase a split screen VW camper van for my girlfriend and continue to create music I enjoy. If others do it too, all the better!
Q: How are the Tall Blue Midget surroundings?
A: Well I live in a flat in Exeter. The highs of Devon are that it's near the surf, it's scenic and the people are friendly, it's a stark contrast to Swindon!
