One of the greatest singer-songwriters of his generation has announced he'll be performing at Derby's Assembly Rooms this year.

Paul Weller will perform on Monday, 12th May as part of a 12-date UK tour to promote his forthcoming album '22Dreams'.

But with a 30-year career in music behind him, the so-called 'Modfather' will have plenty of classic tracks to call on as well.

Weller made his name in the early eighties fronting The Jam and then later that decade, The Style Council.

He then made a triumphant comeback during the Britpop boom in the nineties with his own brand of revivalist rock.

Tickets for the Derby gig go on sale on Saturday, 16th February priced at 拢30.
