The Oxford English Dictionary describes the word 'doobery' as meaning the equivalent of a 'thingummy', in other words it has no specific definition. This is exactly why The Dooberies named themselves as so.

Their music, their image, in fact everything about them defies convention, their laid back attitudes matching perfectly with their ethos of, "having a good time".听

The band began as a folk trio who were invited to play at a rock gig. This meant they needed the addition of drum and bass to bring their folk tunes into the key expected at the venue.

This gradually developed into producing the music on their current album, Omens, which is a mixture of rock, folk, reggae, blues...the list is endless.

Since that time the fivesome have gone through some dramatic changes with two members leaving, but with increasing popularity on the local scene front woman Charlie, Jed, Simon, Paul and Rhys seem all set for success with several big gigs coming up in the near future including Off The Tracks at Donington Park on September 1st.
