First, we decided to make a survey and send it around Year 7 to find out if the credit crunch was affecting them, and in what ways.

We analysed the results and then decided which responses should be followed up. We went away and conducted some initial interviews and began to piece together our stories.

On air and on TV

On Tuesday, Satnam Rana and her camera man, Gary, visited Tile Hill Wood to film our progress.

We felt really excited to be taking part in a real news report! However, some of us were a little nervous but the feeling vanished as we started filming.

We sat in a circle and Gary filmed us from different angles discussing the outcome of the survey. Afterwards we went up to a computer room and the radio booth and some of us were interviewed with the radio equipment.

Then, three girls helped Satnam show statistical results of the survey by using the flip chart. There were a few takes to get it perfect.

After that, she told us that sometimes she has to get up as early as 3am! We then went down to film some vox-pops. We didn鈥檛 have time for many, but hopefully everybody got on TV.
