James Stubbs puts himself to the test. As a Coventry postman, James Stubbs faces transport issues as his working day starts too early to use public transport. He lives close to work, but finds walking at antisocial hours doesn’t suit him either. One possible solution – a bike. He hopes it’ll save him money in petrol, help him lose weight and cut down on the number of cars on the roads. At the Coventry Cycling Centre James considered buying a bike but was nervous about the cost and his commitment. Would he really stick at it? Then he heard about the Bike Bank right here on the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Coventry & Warwickshire website. Through our On Yer Bike! campaign with CSV, James was able to borrow a bike for a week to see how he got on, was given proficiency training and had the option of keeping the bike afterwards for just a £30 donation to The Coventry Peace House. James in his bike safety gear But how did the week go? Did rain, oversleeping and tired legs push him back into the car? Watch his video diary to find out.
