Hi we're some girls from Tile Hill Wood School and for the 成人快手 School Report project, we've been reporting on the issue of size zero.

The reasons for doing a report on size zero

The idea appealed to us because we felt it was an important point to make to children our age. We also felt that it affects us a lot as it is a point that we hear a lot of, going to an all girls school. We are glad that the editor liked our idea. I think he liked it because it is a recent issue that has been in the news. When we found out the information we were very shocked, but it seemed like the public didn鈥檛 feel the same way, as you will see on the footage.

Making our video story

We left the 成人快手 to do a video story on what the general public thought about size zero.

First, we did some Vox-popping in Broadgate and the Lower precinct. However it was difficult because lots of people were camera shy. We asked people what they thought of Size zero and what percentage of 8-12 year olds they thought wanted to change their appearance. The answer to the last question was 74%, which was discovered by Professor Susie Orbach in one of her studies.

We wanted some dramatic reactions to this, but no one seemed to be very surprised! We think that this is because Size zero has been in the media so much recently that it鈥檚 not new to anyone. Also it is not unusual for young girls to copy celebrities.

Next we filmed Helen and Daisy doing their introduction. It took a few goes because random people kept walking in front of the camera, trying to get in shot.

We also interviewed a pharmacist. She gave us lots of useful information which backed up our opinions on Size zero.

Our thoughts on the day

Overall the day has been a great experience and really enjoyable; we would recommend it to anyone who has the chance. We would love to take it up as a job.

Hopefully we will have more chances like this.

We had lots of fun planning and making the story on Size zero and would love to do something similar again.
