Film-maker Alan Van Wijgerden has lived in Coventry for more than 40 years and has worked on many videos set in Coventry, including a large scale project on the reconstruction of the Lower Precinct.

The research for this developed into the material used in the Timelapse video you can see a 3-minute segment of here.

Originally created for National Architecture Week the full 15 minute video uses three main characters - Jan an architect/documentary maker and two star-crossed lovers, Maui and Rob.

The architect is making a documentary about Arthur Ling (the architect responsible for many large scale projects in Coventry, including the Lower Precinct) and appropriately, the two strands cross when Maui appears among the architecture being filmed by Jan.

The majority of the film was shot inside the ring road and there are lots of places Coventrians will recognize.
