The band line up: Will Taggart (Bass), Hazel Stalker (Keyboard), Mark Corabii (Drums), Roger Barker (Guitar).  After being together for two years, barkerhound now really feel like they are getting somewhere and gaining some momentum. Earlier this year they produced their second batch of recordings, The Orange Tape EP (in Roger and Hazel's front room), which showcases five of the best tracks from their live set - Yeah, You and Whose Army, Fashion Victim, So Glad and Injuries. Audio and Video links on this page require Realplayer --- More about the bandWith a sound that can be compared to the likes of Queens Of The Stone Age, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Muse, barkerhound have appeared at most venues you鈥檇 care to mention in the West Midlands and a few you wouldn鈥檛!. Highlights for barkerhound so far for them include playing with Captain, Six Star Hotel and Rex Radio and appearing on the Melting Pot Sessions. Guitarist Roger has a few words to say about the British rock music scene: 鈥淲e鈥檙e just sifting through the wreckage that was left by bands like The Darkness. Bands like these seemed to remind everyone what was bad about rock music... In my opinion they鈥檝e set the rock scene back twenty years. "It just seems like UK record companies aren鈥檛 willing to invest in rock music at the moment, which is crazy considering the amount of revenue bands like the Rolling Stones still bring in. Thank God for Muse, that鈥檚 all I say鈥澨 They will look to pick up many more fans and supporters as they seek to play bigger venues, festivals and record a new demo, aiming to make 2007 a year to remember. "We're not in a mad rush for any kind of record deal, we're still learning to play together. As long as there's some sort of forward movement I think we'll be happy."
