On 14 November 1940, 500 German bombers dropped 500 tons of explosives and nearly 900 incendiary bombs on Coventry in just ten hours. The city was almost destroyed and the bombs claimed many lives. ![]() WW2 soldiers Whilst working on the Sent 2 Coventry project with Herbert Media, the Nuneaton Movie Makers tracked down people who survived the bombings. In this sensitive and powerful video, the film-makers persuaded the interviewees to re-live their experiences. For many it was the first time in decades they had spoken in such detail about the destruction of their homes and the loved ones they lost.
