The So You Claims formed in the cold opening months of 2005 and they were soon offered their first gig with The Sequins and Honeytrap in the Earlsdon Cottage.

Describing their sound as "bullets of punchy pop" the band have since played gigs at the Colly, Birmingham Barfly, the Jug and Jester in Leamington, Warwick University and many more.Ìý

"Supporting big names force you to put on your best show, and so it is useful as well as exhilirating."

Former housemates

The group line up:

• Steve Kiddle - Drums
• Ellie McDowall - Bass, vocals
• Dan Potter - Guitar, keys, vocals
• Richard Warren - Vocals, guitar, keys

Steve tells us more:

"We plan to make good music and continually challenge ourselves, and most of all to put a smile on peoples faces. We plan on keeping up our existing fanbase while extending further afield - Anywhere that wants us and has a nearby train station!"

They also plan to go back into the studio soon to re-record the track So You Claim, which has become something of a favourite with their fans.

"We tend to record in small bursts so we can concentrate on getting the sounds we want. Recording is an expensive buisiness for unsigned bands, but worth it."
