June's ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Coventry & Warwickhire Band of the Month are Lament. Keeping with the Latin vibe provided by May's BOTM Jamson's Nook, the Cov quintet combine Brazilian rhythms with flamenco flourishes topped of by the soulful vocals of Kath Kimber. Lament began gigging in January 2005 when Kath and songwriting partner Anthony McTiffen teamed up with Michael Melbourne and Tom Haines.

After watching them play live, bassist Gary Hodge was so impressed that he asked to join the band. Lament's live album Unveiled is receiving airplay around the world Australia, Japan, the United States and... Wales. Recorded live in one day at Hush Recording Studios in Coventry, with no overdubs, studio gimmicks or trickery used, the album showcases the raw passion and energy of Lament's sound. Lament's music is now set to be heard to be heard by an even wider audience, after they a recently signed a distribution deal with Latin Cool Records. --- Listen to Lament Lament appeared on Vic Minett's show The Guide where they played two new live tracks and spoke to Vic about the band.
