Local RadioYou are in: Cornwall > Local Radio > Fundraising Foley Fundraising FoleyHere is a fundraiser with a difference! ‘Mr Foley’ a Leonberger dog is helping his owner, Jenny Blackhall of Bodmin to raise money for the Precious Lives Appeal by pulling a German Shepherd dog cart around to businesses in their home town. In the last two weeks Jenny Blackhall and her dog Mr Foley have raised £500 for the Precious Lives Appeal by going around businesses in Bodmin and asking for their support by giving money top the charity. Mr Foley has, at times pulled a German Shepherd Dog cart which is not allowed on the public highway. Jenny's idea is to get a cartload of money pulled by Mr Foley. ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Cornwall caught up with Jenny to find out about her mission...
Help playing audio/video Mr Foley is a young dog at just 15 months old. He will also be taking part in a sponsored "walkies event" at Trevarno Estate near Helston on Easter Monday where dog owners are encouraged to raise money by taking their dogs around the estate. Mr Foley with Millie, Jack, Chelsea, baby Abbie Jenny says she wanted to support Precious Lives because she has 16 grandchildren who are all healthy and wants to support those who are not so lucky. She says it is so good to be out with Mr Foley and people commenting on how nice he looks.
