The Bartenders Ball is the Oscars Night of the pub and club world. And top band Scouting For Girls will headline the entertainment. The Bartenders Ball and Newquay Bar Awards are taking place on Thursday 20 September at Sailors Nightclub from 7pm.  Mixing it up for The Bartenders Ball In a first-ever on the evening, Fore Street in the Cornish resort will be closed to traffic. Hundreds of Newquay's bar and restaurant staff, along with sponsors, popstars and DJ's, will arrive in limousines full of glamour. They will be stars for the night as they walk the massive red carpet to the extravagant celebratory event. With three stages packed full of entertainment, it's also a chance for the staff to let their hair down for a change. Top band Scouting For Girls will headline the night. Over the last year or so, these minstrels of the South East have gone on to top download charts, appear at the Shepherds Bush Empire, and get regular airplay. Scouting for Girls are lifelong friends Roy, Greg & Pete. Since forming in late 2005 these fine scouts have been very busy.  Scouting For Girls will be appearing They recorded a live session for 成人快手 Radio One & Radio Two, appeared at Glastonbury, and signed to Epic Records on Valentines Day 2007. Scouting For Girls new album is out this month. Their first EP single, 'It's Not About You', was an indie summer smash when it was released in June. The Newquay Bar Awards take place at 8pm and include prizes for best late night venue, best late night eating experience, best hotel/surf lodge bar, people's choice award, best service standards, best daytime eating experience, best nightclub, best traditional pub, best overall bar and even the best toilets. The Newquay Bar Awards Line Up has been confirmed and tickets are now on sale.
