The Club Sessions will take place after the main concerts for those who like to party into the early hours... The Boardmasters get underway in Newquay on Monday 6 August 2007. The Cornish resort will be crammed full of surfers, skaters, bands and DJs. Add to them the locals and holiday makers who want to sunbathe by day and party by night, and you have the busiest week of the summer season. Not only do you have the Beach Sessions at Fistral from 7.30pm till 12am, Monday to Sunday, featuring line ups in a cross section of genres. (From Enter Shikari and The Pigeon Detectives, to crazy antics with The Cuban Brothers) Goldierocks will be at the Boardmasters And the Unleashed Festival at the scenic cliff top location overlooking Watergate Bay on the Friday and Saturday nights. (With headline performances from Ash, Paulo Nutini, Funeral For a Friend, Guillemots, The Subways, Scott Mathews, Newton Faulkner and a whole lot more) But also in the final part of the Boardmasters week you have the Club Sessions. Taking place from 11pm on the Friday 10, Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 August right through to the early hours. The shindigs will showcase some of the hottest DJ talent out there right now with exclusive sets from some of the biggest indie bands in the UK. Residents for the weekend will be Ibiza Rocks and Manumission regular, Goldierocks who returns to the Newquay Boardmasters with her energetic and eclectic DJ set of rock'n'roll debauchery and mash-up electro. She will be joined by the South West's very own Charlie G, without doubt one of the UK's brightest DJ/Producer talents, whose infectious turntable energy is boundless. The Guillemots will be there too It all kicks off on the Friday at Buzios, with NME Favourites, Northern Icons & recent winners of 成人快手 poll for 'best cover version ever', The Futureheads. An amazing band who are carving out a huge reputation for their DJ'ing. They are joined by a DJ set from electro rock outfit the Infadels with their homebrew mash-ups and party hearty classics. On the Saturday it's down to Fistral Blu, which will see the biggest make-over of the weekend in what is surely has to be the most scenic location for a club night. Entertainment on the night comes from Godskitchen and Judgement Sundays resident and man of the moment Micky Slim. He's recognised as the hottest DJ/Producer on the house & electro scene, and also one of the most charismatic. Add to this a set from the BRIT & Mercury nominated band The Guillemots (fresh from playing at Unleashed), covering everything from Peaches to LCD sound system. On the Sunday (12th) comes the official closing party. That looks set to go on until the sun rises at one of the town's clubs, Sailors. Top Cornish DJ Charlie G Headlining will be a DJ set from Babyshambles feat Adam Ficek, possibly the most talked about band out there, expect a full on indie set. Joining Adam will be the only pro snowboarder/DJ in the UK - the latest addition to the massive Fingerlickin records empire Mr Scot Nixon, with his infectious breaks, and party treats. There will also be a South West Exclusive performance from electro outfit I Am Finn, performing live on stage. As if all that wasn鈥檛 enough, there will be final sets from the weekend鈥檚 residents Goldierocks and Charlie G.
