Bad Manners return!

Special Brew

Take a massive Ska band, with a larger than life lead singer, add a Newquay nightclub and a tonne of hits, and you have a 'Special Brew' of entertainment that only Bad Manners can provide...

Bad Manners are returning to Cornwall with their slimmed down lead singer Buster Bloodvessel, but still guaranteeing a larger than life party.

The band, who have been together since their chart busting days of the '70s and '80s remain a popular draw on the club and university circuit.

From their beginnings as a school group in 1976, throughout their chart successes (11 Top 20 hits) and until the present day, the self-dubbed merry troupe of ska troubadours have maintained a punishing live schedule and make a welcome return Cornwall.

Their time in the charts exceeded that of Little Richard, Fats Domino, The Moody Blues, Culture Club and Frankie Goes to Hollywood.

Hits included 'Ne-Ne-Na-Na-Na-Na-Nu-Nu', 'Lip Up Fatty', 'Special Brew', 'Can-Can' and 'Walking in the Sunshine'. Each was accompanied by outrageous appearances on Top of the Pops that endeared Buster and his chums to the great British public.

The one and only Buster Bloodvessel

The band were always far more than a simple charting prospect however as anyone who has seen them live will tell you. A world of trick and treat, pinhead and skinhead, circus and freakshow all combined with honest vulgarity. You always get 1000% enthusiasm from the band every time.

By the time the band gets into its live strides, the audience will be covered in water and beer, various inflatables and body sweat.

Buster Bloodvessel may be half the man he used to be weight-wise. After drastic surgery, Buster lost a staggering 18 stone, but he's still 100% the showman he always was. If you love musical nostalgia, lose yourself in the party ska band that was, is and will always be Bad Manners.

Bad Manners will be appearing at the Barracuda in Newquay on Thursday 16 August from 10pm.
