The Modern Rock Garden
Designed by Tomoko Osonoe
Tomoko Osonoe has created a modern style courtyard garden suited to a stylish new building. The theme of the garden is a modern rock garden.
"I was inspired by the Utrecht Botanic Garden, where I used to work as a gardener and learned about the beauty of rock plants. They may be small plants but they have a strong energy.
The modernity of the rock garden is expressed by using a combination of containers. If this garden were to have a motto it would be 'simple and clean', and the gradation leading into the garden invites people into a soothing but contemporary space."
Gorgeous. This garden looks like it has been bathed in warm sunshine that it's sharing with the viewer.
I appreciate the quality of the finish, but it feels too pristine and cold for me. More of a 'shop' feel, less of a comfortable comforting garden.
I really love this garden,it is raised flower beds, clean lines an looks easy to look after. I am disabled so i can plant all day if i want to...Thank you it's lovely.
I love this garden, I'm in the process of completely redoing our garden at home and this is now my inspiration!! Any tips?

This garden is beautiful. I love the clean lines and shapes, the variety is wonderful. You would never tire of looking at this garden or of the calmness it would provide. Wish I could do something similar.
