The planting is informal and relaxed, using traditional cottage plants such as roses, lavender, and dianthus.

Being passionate about gardening, this couple have adjusted the soil in some areas to allow plants with different growing requirements to take root and they also like to use new varieties. Although the garden is fairly high maintenance, the owners are very active and enjoy nothing more than relaxing on the garden seat at the end of a hard day’s work. "
