Hey Duggee is a popular British animated television series aimed at preschool children. The show is produced by Studio AKA in association with ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Studios, the show is narrated by Alexander Armstrong.The series revolves around Duggee, a big, friendly dog who runs the Squirrel Club. The Squirrels are Roly the hippopotamus, Norrie the mouse, Happy the crocodile, Tag the rhinoceros, and Betty the octopus. Each episode features a different badge where Duggee and the Squirrels embark on various adventures and earn badges for learning new skills.

Duggee is a fun-loving friendly brown dog who runs the Squirrel Club. He looks after the Squirrels when their parents drop them off at the Clubhouse. Duggee knows about lots of different things, from drawing and making jam to philosophy and space and has lots of badges to prove it. Duggee communicates through barking ‘ah-woof’ noises which only those around him can understand. Each episode he teaches the Squirrels new skills so they can earn their very own badges. At the end of each day at the Clubhouse, Duggee gives the Squirrels their badges and there’s always time for one more thing…a Duggee Hug.

Norrie is a sweet-natured, fun-loving mouse, who loves dancing, playing and having fun! She’s very bright, curious, chatty and giggly and doesn’t like to sit still for too long! Norrie is the eldest of 72 brothers and sisters! Coming to Squirrel Club is a welcome break from all the chaos at home. She has a pet Venus Flytrap plant.

Happy is a cheerful, clever crocodile who is very interested in the world around him…especially water. He loves being part of Squirrel Club. Happy was adopted by a family of elephants who love him very much. It’s hard not to love Happy, he’s very charming. Happy is a little bit obsessed with his older cousin Eric and talks about him a lot. Happy loves splashing in water. It’s his favourite thing to do.

Roly is a small hippopotamus with a very loud voice. Roly is a fizzing ball of energy and enthusiasm. Sometimes he gets a bit over excited and shouts very loudly, scaring away birds and Enid the cat.

But he has also learnt how to be gentle and quiet too. Roly has heaps of energy and likes running around and digging holes in the ground which gets him very dirty.

Tag is a gentle and kind rhinoceros who is a little bit clumsy. Tag is very good at making friends, and loves all his friends at Squirrel Club very much. He’s always in a good mood and wants other people to share the fun too! He always throws himself into whatever the Squirrels and Duggee are doing with enthusiasm. Tag often trips and bumps into things but luckily he has thick rhino skin so doesn’t get hurt too often.

Betty is a purple octopus. She is very clever and likes science, reading and reading about science. She’s very talkative, always has something to say and can sometimes seem a bit of a know-it-all. She can also be a little bit bossy. Betty really likes organising things.
