Make your own ice cream
Get prepared for the summer heat and make some super tasty homemade ice cream with this incredibly quick and very easy recipe!
- 480ml single cream
- 4 tbsp caster sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- Ice
- 150g rock salt
- Biodegradable food bags
How to:
Mix the single cream, sugar and vanilla extract in a big mixing bowl.
Pour the mixture into the smaller food bag and seal tightly so the mixture does not leak.聽Top Tip: remove any excess air from the bag before closing it.
Place the cream filled food bag inside the larger food bag, then fill it with ice and rock salt and seal tightly.
This next step is going to get really cold, so grab a towel and wrap your food bag up!
Shake the bag for at least five minutes...the longer you shake, the firmer the ice cream will be!
Now you can open the bags and dish your delicious ice cream!聽
Finally, sprinkle your favourite toppings or sauce on your ice cream, and enjoy!
