George in the Radio Cambs studio George Bear's radio debut! The world's most famous blogging bear, George, makes his radio debut, talking to Sue Dougan about his role as Aloysius in Brideshead Revisited... George Bear is a regular blogger here at 成人快手 Cambridgeshire, regaling his many fans with backstage gossip from the set of Brideshead Revisited, where he's got the starring role of Sebastian Flyte's much-loved teddy bear, Aloysius. George with Kieron, Lucy, Colin & Olive Brideshead Revisited, produced by St John鈥檚 Players runs from 24th-27th October at The Townley Memorial Hall, Fulbourn Institute, Fulbourn. With first night nerves firmly behind him, George the Bear invited his friends to join him during his radio debut on 成人快手 Radio Cambridgeshire's Sue Dougan Show. He brought his girlfriend Olive along with him for moral support, and also, because - as anyone who knows Olive would know - she'd NEVER forgive him if he left her behind! Accompanying George and Olive were three actors (compared with George, though, they're only bit-part players!) - Kieron, Lucy and Colin. George says "thank you" to Sue Now, presenter Sue Dougan's interviewed hundreds of guests before - she's even had a conversation with a ferret - but this was a first for both Sue AND George. You can listen to the full interview, and find out more about St John's Players' production of Brideshead, by clicking on the link below.
Help playing audio/video But if you simply can't wait for that to download, here are just a few snippets from Sue's interview with the inimitable George Bear: Sue: George - did you always know that the stage was your calling? Sue: And have rehearsals been taxing? Sue: Have you been recognised since you've been blogging for the 成人快手? George and Olive Then George ponders what his next role might be. It's cruelly pointed out that Hamlet might be a little out of his league, although George counters this by saying that he'd be quite keen on having a go at Macbeth... definitely a meaty second role for a teddy bear. But it might be time to take a holiday first. The production finishes soon, and now that George has heard of so many places through the play, he's quite keen to see what Morocco's like, and he's very keen to go to Venice as well. He's already been to his ancestral home, Castle Howard in Yorkshire, so perhaps it's time for George to take his play on tour to some of these newly-discovered places? What's really next for George? Well, we all wish him and Olive all the best with their plans to populate the world with little "bowls" (bear-owls), and we're all hoping he'll keep in touch with his friends and fans. Or at the very least, send us a postcard... Bye bye George Bear, and thank you!
