Audio on the blog
As I hope you've noticed by now, I've started posting bits of audio on this blog. I thought perhaps I should explain why.
Nearly everything I write here originates in something we've broadcast either on The World Tonight or on Newshour. So it seems to make sense, now that the technology exists, to give you the opportunity to hear the original material. It is, in ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ-speak, "multi-platform content delivery", in other words, you get a chance to sample our programming not only on the radio, or via iPlayer (UK listeners only, I'm afraid) or the website, but also via this blog.
I have the impression that most of you are not regular listeners to our radio output. Am I right? Do you find it useful to be able to hear bits of radio with the click of a computer mouse, even if you don't have the time or inclination to listen to a whole news programme? I'd welcome your feedback, because we're experimenting with many different ways of reaching out to listeners - and if this is useful, I'll happily do more of it.
(Apologies to those of you who read this blog on . I have not yet managed to find a way of exporting the audio to Facebook - but you can access it by clicking on "View original post".)
