Who the hell do footballers think they are ?

Poor loves. Those footballers have a tough life don't they ?
Having to represent their countries in the world's biggest sporting event, being paid a fortune in wages and endorsements, and being waited on hand and foot.
Meanwhile, their fans - loyal to the last - pay a small fortune (for them) to travel and watch their heroes in action.
And when they perform badly and without passion those same fans boo therm.Â
And our pampered stars didn't like it -Â and in the case of England, Wayne Rooney questions the fans loyalty. You know the people who's passion and commitment creates a "home" atmosphere for the team.
Then we hear they don't like the discipline imposed on them. What ? having to train a couple of times a day and then return to your luxury 5 star hotel and play with your X-Boxes ?
The French team have such a hissy fit . The same French team who have managed precisely no goals in two matches.
On the pitch, players cheat (see last night's game for a masterclass, but they aren't the only ones), complain about the dreadful vuvuzela noise and generally throw their toys out of the pram when things don't go their way.
All this against a back drop of a country where many many people live below the poverty line with no power, no money and in some cases, no water.

When will footballers grow up? You are paid a fortune to play. Just play & keep your mouths zipped. Many would be glad to take your places.
