A home for your ideas

Ros Atkins Ros Atkins | 15:45 UK time, Wednesday, 9 May 2007

I'd like think that the whole of WHYS could be described as such, but just to make sure your ideas are easy to find on the blog, we've created a section called, er, 'Your ideas'. (I know it took us a while to come up with that one.) If you've stories or issues you'd like to hear on the programme, then email them to me or worldhaveyoursay@bbc.co.uk, and we'll post them. Of course, you're very welcome to run a critical eye over everyone else's suggestions as well.

Here are some suggestions we've received today... let us know what you think...

Rami Jaber in Lebanon
Hello There,
I would like to raise the subject of mixed marriage (Between different religious and sects). I am from Lebanon where people are in general that much religious yet they consider religion as an identity maybe more important than any other identity. People tend to get mixed and involved (mean in relations) with people of same religion and sometimes sects. I myself was passed through this tough experience where I found myself forced to broke up with my girlfriend due to our inability to get married due to both families rejection (we belong to Islam and Christianity).
Yet I still truly believe that mixed marriage is the only solution to religious split countries like Lebanon, Iraq, north Ireland...

Hassan in Kenya
hallow, I am one of your regular listener of this program but I would like my views to be aired so that I enjoy listening.
therefore the burning issue I have today is about the north eastern province of kenya where somalis are living. somali kenyans are always asked the national identity card and if they lose it they will face music ,such as jail or pay money to save themselves from prison. other kenyans are not asked about this.

is this fair ??? they cannot travel in their own country the way they feel like, so please let's talk about this.

Thank u bbc for the most enlightened of programmes. Pls I will like u to discuss "what is it that make people decide to be a suicide bomber?'

Nate, Portland, OR
The atrocities that are too horrible for humanity to even face have been going on in the Durfur region of Sudan since 2003 (and even longer). For if the world was willing to face the truth then it wouldn't have continued without some kind of intervention. Therefore I first blame my own country, the United States of America, for not responding to the genocide in a decisive manner. China however is not only guilty of not doing anything, but their economic ties with buying oil and selling arms, in my opinion, holds a charge of responsibility for what has happened and what is happening in Durfur.

The Washington Post today has stated that China is sending around 300 military engineers to assist the 7,000 African Union peacekeepers. In my opinion this is an insulting gesture that is only in response to the Olympic Games that will be in Beijing in 2008.

The discussing I am proposing for World Have Your Say is that we discuss weather or not we should boycott the 2008 Olympic Games or not.

Thank you for your consideration.

What you are looking for is Abe Maslow's eupsychian ethic. This is covered in his "Eupsychian Management" on p. 205, et. seq.

Does The Constitution of The United States stand up for itself?

As a British/American citizen I invested in waterfront property here in The US only to have it taken away by illegal Eminent Domain proceedings. Without due process this fraud scheme involved the conviscation of private property for private use within a Private Subdivision in SW Florida. This is & has been verified by multiple lawyers against The US & FL Constitution.

In light of the above and the atrocities at Guantanamo Bay I would like to suggest that 'World have your say' discuss whether The US Constitution stands for what it preaches.

i am really shocked having seen the double slandered behavior of western world. Iraq was demolished saying this that it possessed nuclear weapons which is against people. but what about Israel, western world itself? as they have the large scale of deadly weapons.they are sheltering and producing the terrorist groups to achieve their their interest.no words from western world though Israel has been killing and flattening Palestine people and their houses and shelters.is this secret appearance of western's human rights? every year we see America makes the heights level of human rights violation. hopefully western worlds will leave hypocrisy and others properly.

Pakestan is completely riddled with termites. The very structure of the country is ready to cave in. Not only that but it has been sending these termites into every country for many many years. There should be a world wide conference and ALL countries should agree to share the clean up costs. I heard yesterfday a general say there are five million displaced people in Pakistan, not two million. If this country could be cleaned up the US would have no war in Afghaistan and India would never have a problem with Kashmir. Pakistan should agree to United Nations supervision inside their country but it could be done and in fact it must be done If for when the structure falls the termites will be everywhere infecting the world. What are we waiting for?

I'm a young Israeli who lives here in London. A couple of years ago, when visiting Tel Aviv, I was overwhelmed with joy when I saw, for the first time, the score of foreign immigrants (from East Asia, Africa, East Europe etc.) in the city. I went to visit an immigrant-children evening school and had tears in my eyes to see the new generation of Phillippino, Thai, and African Israelis.
This have changed since then, when the Israeli Immigrant-Police start cleaning the street from illegal immigrants that have over-stayed their visas. Their children, who never visited their parents home country, and were 100% integrated into the Israeli society, needless to say were caught in the middle.
Against the cold-blooded bureaucrats and heartless police officers, and army of young, energetic and compassionate citizens, who are giving their time and energy to battle back and care for those immigrants and their families in the courts and the streets.
Sounds like it may worth your time covering??

Assuming the fact that the world is going through crisis and crisis are increasingly caused by unknown earthlings who have some sort of gain in it, so we better come together and intertwined things up. As for a proper solution to the constant wars around the Globe, I suggest that, the re-organization of religions world wide has a lot to do. I proposed that b.b.c talk about" RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE AND MODIFICATION IN A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE" for it surely have a lot to contribute in solving some important crisis the world is facing today.

I am concerned by the very little attention the abuses of human rights by soldiars in the Boko Haram crisis. I think it has a lot to do with the uncanny nature of Nigerians to keep things like that quite. Wole Soyinka's "the man dies in all who keep silent in the face of tyranny" wasn't said without this peculiar attribute of Nigerians to sleep with oppression in the same bed, so as "not to disturb the peace" as they would put it. Countless acoounts recount instances of extra judicial killings but people prefer to pretend of it as a case of the security forces coming to rescue them from the Boko Haram, clearly because they don't want to incur the wrath of the authorities themselves. So what is the world going as soldiers, going from house to house, continue on this spree of unlawful waste of human lives.
