It's time for hip-hop to respect women

Not my demand, but that of the all-conquering Russell Simmons of the legendary Def Jam label. there's no place for words like 'bitches' and 'hos' in hip-hop and he wants the music industry stop allowing their use. Is he right or is he failing to understand the culture and language that made him his millions?

THE YELTSIN DIVIDE
To some of you the late Russian President was the man who stopped communism and gave Russia democracy and capitalism. To some you he was an embarrassment who drank too much, and did very little for Russia. We'll hear both sides, and if you're somewhere in the middle that's OK as well.

SHOULD WOMEN THINK TWICE ABOUT TRAVELLING ALONE?
You may have followed the story of . She was a British woman who was raped and murdered in Japan seven years ago. The man charged with her murder was cleared of the charges today, and the return of the case to the spotlight has prompted a broader discussion about women travelling alone.

If you're a woman, Do murders like Lucie Blackman's make you think twice?

I asked one (female) friend earlier, who retorted that 'this is one terrible case, but there are thousands of women travelling, taking care and having a great time. Why should they stop?' Do you agree?
