I watched a rather sobering item on last night's ten o'clock news from a Orla Guerin was staying in a camp with thousands of refugees who have been forced from their homes in Darfur in brutal inter-ethnic attacks. She asked if the situation there could become as severe as Darfur. Should we look at this on the programme later?

Some of the world's leaders have signed a new agreement on climate change.

This is . Developing countries and rich nations will both have to meet targets for cutting greenhouse gas emissions. Is this just more talk or does it mark a change in attitudes from those at the top to make a greater committment to take greater action? Is it a given that everyone now accepts global warming exists and is a real threat? Or are there people out there who still think it's not happening...?
