linked to the conflict in Sudan's Darfur region are set to move a step closer, as evidence is presented to the International Criminal Court. The Sudanese government though rejects the ICC's authority, saying its own judicial system is capable of trying suspects. In New Zealand, have called for a curbing of immigration to the Islands. Maori nationalists called on the government in Wellington to limit the number of migrants from Britain. They think the government is running a secret campaign to prevent the "browning of New Zealand" by encouraging large numbers of white immigrants so that they outnumber those of Pacific and Asian origin who would align themselves with the Maori minority. Are the Maori nationalists right? Or are they overreacting?
The Eta prisoner, , is believed to be following his three month hunger strike. Already in prison 19 years for the killing of 25 people, he began his hunger strike last November in protest against a further three years being added to his sentence for publishing threats in a newspaper.
