Top of the mornin' to ya...
Happy New Year to you all from West London. I have to admit I'm a little bit depressed to be here this morning, but if you check out the photograph of where I spent the last few days seeing in '07 with my nearest and dearest I'm sure you'll understand why.
Thank you to Rosbeg, near Donegal in Ireland for a wonderful stay, and for teaching me what proper weather is!
So whilst I've been out in the wilds of Ireland for a few days, I've managed to cast my eyes over a newspaper or two but the internet and television have been total strangers to me. All I've learnt from the papers I have read is how to change my life, lose half a stone, and become a better person in a week, but not much that will help set up today's programme. Any thoughts much appreciated as always!
I spent some time on my Easy jet flight back last night thinking about my carbon footprint. I'm sure I'm not the only one to have taken advantage of a cheap flight or two in 2006, should I be feeling guilty? Can't I just make sure I sign up to one of the schemes that plant trees to offset the damage caused to the environment each time you fly? I read an article recently which raised questions over one or two of these schemes, I'm going to dig it out now and see if it raises any interesting talking points for the programme.
