Put down the turkey and come set the agenda.

Paul Coletti | 09:02 UK time, Thursday, 23 November 2006

Good morning and welcome to World Have Your Say. This is the time of day when you can help us decide what to put on tonight's show. It has to be good to beat last night's testy exchange between the Syrian Ambassador to the UN and Michael in Manchester.

Take a look at the stories we've selected below. Do they get you talking? If not, suggest changes. Post your comment below.

If you're in the US then Happy Thanksgiving - it's nice to see we Europeans aren't the only ones with strange rituals and in this modern world.

The Times of London is reporting that Iraq's PM will sit down with for talks. Does this sound credible to you? Will negotiating with hardened killers help ease the tensions in Iraq? Al-Qaeda have been excluded from the talks according to The Times - I wonder if they're really bothered?

The Dutch have voted for . . . well, nobody's really sure yet. The results so far are with one MP describing it as "chaos." Bearing in mind our feisty Burqa debate from earlier this week, does this mean inertia for the foreseeable future for the Dutch politial system?

The Northern Irish peace deal may, just may, be tomorrow at Stormont . . . this is the final, final deadline . . . but is it? Bearing in mind Bill Clinton's famous of Northern Irish politics are we simply in for more delays?

In the DRC, President Kabila is threatening to use to oust his rival Jean-Pierre Bemba. Bemba has 100 personal guards but Kabila has 600. Is this just post-election posturing or will normal politics resume in the Congo?

Lebanon today buries Pierre Gemayel and in a direct contradiction of Ambassador Jaafari's wishes last night on our show, the UN has decided it will the killing a la Rafik Hariri. Does the UN's involvement fill you with confidence that justice will be done?

We had a riotous debate last week about the use of the 'N' word on London Transport's advertising placards. Well, that word has reared its head again a few days ago in the US where a has been roundly slammed for a tirade involving the word and quite a few others. Is this a massive talking point in the US?

A reminder that on Monday 27th we'll be talking about violence in schools. We want to know your experiences either as a teacher or a pupil - please let us know.

Who said this?
"Today we are needing to be as responsible as we can possibly be, not just thinking of our own children but our friends' and neighbors' children."
Sounds like a politician or a member of the doesn't it? It was actually who is concerned about the promo clips on TV used to advertise gruesome shows such as CSI. Is this a pot and kettle scenario coming from the man who gave us horrors such as Jaws, Schindlers List and er, AI? Or perhaps the opinion of a concerned parent?

Other events that caught my eye . . .

In France there have been some street clashes. But just for a change they don't involve ethnic minorities or smelly students. It's Firemen versus Police. Don't believe me? Look .

And what do you make of the Beatles new album? A valiant reinterpretation of pop classics or are you with Oasis frontman and Fab Four fan Noel Gallagher who described the whole thing as I got a sneak preview here at the Beeb on Sunday and personally I'm wondering just how many times you can flog a dead horse.
