nigel_adderley.gifBERLIN - Just what is %3Ca%20href="https://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2006/teams/brazil/4751387.stm">the secret of Brazil's success? On the evidence of their final training session here at the Olympic Stadium it seems incredible they've won two of the last three World Cups. It was a chaotic circus which was %3Ca%20href="%3Ca%20href="#" onClick="javascript: void window.open('/mediaselector/check/sol/ukfs_sport/hi/av?redirect=fs.stm&nbram=1&bbram=1&nbwm=1&bbwm=1&news=1&nol_storyid=5060858','console','toolbar=0,location=0,status=0,menubar=0,scrollbars=0,resizable=0,width=681,height=487');return false;"> high on flair and low on any sort of organisation.

In a fantasically entertaining kick-about, Ronaldo (not as fat as you may believe) played in a holding midfield role while goalkeeper Dida put himself about up front and knocked in a couple of very tidy goals.

In no time at all, the Aussies had poured out of the Fritz-Walter-Stadion and into the town's "fan mile", lined with bunting, beer tents and sausage stalls - check out the pictures.

Just leave a comment on this post.

Here's the latest contribution from Ross Kinnaird, the %3Ca%20href="https://corporate.gettyimages.com/marketing/Sport2006/pages/usa/FIFA.asp">Getty Images photographer who is following the England team and was covering the Paraguay game in Frankfurt.

EnglandParaGoal300_2.jpg

It might look as if I was just sitting behind the net but Fifa don't like a dozen or more photographers cluttering up their goal mouths so I was working – honest! We all had to wear our nice green bibs and sit patiently behind the ad boards waiting for the action to begin. Behind the net, I positioned a Canon EOS-1 Mark II camera with a 16-35mm zoom lens, mounted on a mini-tripod. It was triggered by a radio transmitter which went off when I shot the action in and around the penalty area. I set it up just after the teams had finished their warm-up - you don't need £4,500 worth of camera equipment to be used for shooting practice. Once it was all in place I just waited for the ball, keeper and a few players to do their thing – or score an own-goal in this instance!

BERLIN – Some advance warning is in order. At some point over the next few days, I’ll be sitting down with Ian Wright to interview him for the World Cup Daily.

But I felt that the questions should come from you - not least because they’re sure to be more insightful. If you leave your questions in the comments box below – topics along the lines of his thoughts on the World Cup so far, England’s chances, who else he rates and his favourite World Cup memories – Ian will read out and answer them for the Daily.

After the game, I managed to speak to the former East German goalkeeper Renee Muller who kept goal for Lok Leipzig for 20 years. He was overjoyed that this day had arrived for the people of Leipzig, the East German city that was in the former German Democratic Republic.

paul_armstrong_55x55.gifBERLIN - The football in this tournament has so far mostly been highly entertaining. As I've said before, that's by far the most important variable in our output - but the one over which we have no control whatsoever.

For 23 months out of 24, we also have complete control over live match coverage - if a less than illuminating replay is used on the FA Cup Final or an England home game, or there is a cut to a close-up camera while the ball is in play, then we only have ourselves to blame.
