Well it certainly moved for people living in North Wales who mailed in overnight saying their windows and doors rattled. Initially they thought there had been an earth tremor - but it turned out it was a sonic boom from a Eurofighter jet.

Brian from Dyserth was the first to get in touch: "At about 14:15 on 25/5/06 the house shook and, after speaking with next door, they said that their doors rattled."

Huw was next, mailing in from 20 miles away in Mold: "Our conservatory shook and rattled for about 15 seconds and there was a rumble afterwards. There was a similar occurrence 30 mins later."

Brian from Frodsham, Cheshire, made sense of it all: "The tremor has been reported all over Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales. We felt it here too. The British Geological Survey say it was due to a Eurofighter jet undertaking supersonic trials over the Irish Sea."

has an interactive experience giving you the chance to pilot the Eurofighter Typhoon which, it says, is the "world's most advanced fighter". If you do have a go, please try and keep the noise down. The guy at the controls yesterday gave some of us a right fright!
