The One Show Team | 13:23 UK time, Tuesday, 12 May 2009

2 Tone Records launched 30 years ago. For The One Show, Billy Bragg took a journey back The Specialsto where it all began and found out how the label provided the soundtrack to a tough period in British history - 1979 to 1982.

The Two Tone genre was created by fusing elements of other musical genres. Ska, punk rock, reggae and more were thrown into the mix. Its famous tracks include Ghost Town by The Specials, A Message To You, Rudy by The Specials, Mirror in the Bathroom by The Beat and Prince by Madness.
