Dear ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ,
Usually, I look forward to watch the evening news on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ, since I consider ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ more objective in thier views regarding World News. Saying as much, it was disappointing that in tonight's broadcast (23/03/2007) that I heard two of your reporters refer to the PERSIAN GULF as the Arabian Gulf.
I have never heard of, nor can I locate this Arabian Gulf on the current world map. As far as I, and many of my geography collegues, the gulf you are referring to has been known as the PERSIAN GULF for thousands of years.
It seems to me that with the present tension in the region between Iran and the West, that the UK is leaning towards and looking forward to regime change in the area and this influenced ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's objectivity. If ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ cannot be objective in thier reporting then please state these "facts" as an opinion. This really is an unforgivable subjective statement and reporting thus is a fruad to the public.
If this subjectivity continues, I will stop watching ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ and rally my friends to do the same.
