The report suggest Dacre was incisive, eloquent and correct. It is worrying that the tax-supported ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ and the Guardian group - which is effectively government subsidised by obscene amounts of public sector advertising revenue dominate the online news sector in the UK. They, and The Independent exhibit a stifling left-of-centre monoculturism in their reporting and analysis (though the Independent adds a dash of hippy, hand-wringing loonyism to distinguish itself).
You reported the 40th birthday of Milton Keynes this morning- just to let you know that the firework display took place this morning as you reported, but at 7.45- well after dawn. It was in full daylight, and from my nearby village there was not a lot to see!
Perhaps Gus Swan would like to see the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ descend to the gutter level of journalism purveyed by the Daily Mail ?
Saints preserve us - when that happens it really will be time to get that air ticket to Canada..
Perhaps Philip would like to subscribe to the guardianista world-view foisted upon the telly-tax paying public? If the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ is so great then presumably Philip would be happy to pay for his lefty fix by subscription, certainly I would be happy for him to do that as I don't want to pay for an agenda that only reflects the world-view of left-leaning media types from N. London.
The Mail represents the views of millions of people in this country (whether you like it or not) and Dacre was merely expressing the fact that the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ subscribes to an agenda that you might want, but most of the country does not agree with. And Philip, if you think the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's journalism is so good then in my view you need to get out more, the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ misleads by commission and omission - generally in support of its own chattering-classes agenda. If you think the beeboids produce good journalism then you are simply wrong, most of the news output is a hash of press-feeds from lefty politico groups/think-tanks/pressure groups/lobby organisations and lazy cribbing of info from wire services and the internet.
Elliot. I think Dacre was wrong, but it was worth him making his points. However, your attempt to defend him was strangled at birth by your hilariously inaccurate description of ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ news output. Anyone reading (or watching/ listening) to it can tell that your claim it's "a hash of press-feeds from lefty politico groups/think-tanks/pressure groups/lobby organisations and lazy cribbing of info from wire services and the internet" is just total rubbish.
What's rubbish Jakester is the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's idea of journalism, two minutes on the net would confirm that I'm hardly the only person to think so, so it seems your claim "that anyone can tell" is in fact total rubbish.
The beeb's bias is so blatant that it's commented upon around the globe. Frankly I don't care if you like the beeb or not, I only care that I and the rest of the UK's hard-pressed tax payers no longer have to pay for your left-wing agenda from the beeboids.
