Okay, okay, so I know I use that terrible pun on a fairly regular basis, but always with due cause… and today's due cause is that The Cut has been featured a HUGE ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ blog.
Yesterday TV blog were talking about 'Inspector George Gently' and today… it's 'The Cut'! Gemma, wardrobe stylist on The Cut, has shared a few set secrets. So if you wanna know all about how Catherine et al's clothes are chosen, head to the blog and say hi.

To celebrate the launch of season 3 next week we have revamped, reinvented, rejigged, re-everythinged The Cut website.
We’ve added some swish new bits, like an ‘Access All Areas’ section where there’s a dedicated space for Music, for the Audition specials (Boys and Girls), for Backstage Videos and for some great Cut Wallpapers, which you can download and use as your screensaver, computer wallpaper, or just print and keep.
It also includes a Fan area where you can send in your fan pics, videos and links to the fansites you’ve made for the Cut/ Cut cast. So if you’ve got anything which fits this bill, do send it in to us and you might well see it on the website.
We’ve also added the new characters, so you can see who’s coming in to series 3, who the actors are and read a bit about each of them.
We hope you enjoy exploring the updates to the site, and we look forward to bringing you the first instalment of Series 3 of The Cut right here on Monday at 5.10pm.

We hope the trailer yesterday gave you a good taste of what's to come in the upcoming weeks - I think Vicki summed it up perfectly in her exclammation, "Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhomgomglehasfhgkdlfj". Spot on!
As promised last week, we have another new character for you to take a look at - here's Luke.
We enjoyed your predictions for Jack so much, we'd like to hear what you think about Luke. How will he enter The Cut? Who will he hang out with? Any thoughts on potential storylines that he might be involved in? All suggestions welcome. Vicki says good luke... Comedy gold.

Sometimes, a video comes along that is so exciting, there are simply no words for it. Today, is one of those occasions. Which is why I am going to stop writing and let this TRAILER FOR SERIES THREE (!) do the talking right about...
NOW.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhomgomglehasfhgkdlfj (what?! I said no words… and that was definitely not a word)
In a week jam-packedÌýwith exclusives,Ìýhere'sÌýyour next series 3 insider scoop... it's theÌýfirst newÌýface ofÌýThe Cut series 3Ìý- Jack Simmons.
We can’t tell you much about Jack, but what we can say is he’s a bit of a dark character… oooooohhhhh cryptic! So here’s Jack’s pic:
We’ve also got an old face returning to The Cut for series 3. It’s Rosa – and here’s a cute picture of her and Frankie on set.
We’d love to hear your predictions of what might happen to both Jack and Rosa in series 3. Suggestions perhaps of how you think Jack’s going to be introduced, who you think he’s going to be mates with, and any storyline suggestions that you think Jack or Rosa might be involved in…? Post your predictions below – and we’ll see if there’s any Cut psychics out there...

Kicking off the week in style, we’ve got a couple of clips for you of series 3. These are fresh from the edit and an exclusive just for the blog. Great huh?
The clips are pretty different from each other (in a good way we think) because at the end of series 2 the characters were all inÌývery different places. Don't worry, episode 1 of the new series won't disappoint as it promises to pick up all the pieces. Let us know what you think...

It’s the end of the week… it’s very nearly the weekend… it’s Friday 17th September… (ok, you’re right, there’s nothing particularly exciting about the date – unless it’s your birthday), but the best thing about today is we have a Cut exclusive for you...
We can now definitely confirm that there are going to be some new characters entering The Cut for series 3… They’ll be turning up at school, in the Mews, popping into the café, they’ll be, well, pretty much everywhere really. For those observant grammar fiends among you, you’ll have noticed it’s characters – plural – so there’s not just one (there’s not even just two!), there’s going to be several new faces… and they’ve all got great storylines.
We’re going to be introducing you to them next week, right here on the blog, so make sure you check back regularly, and there may well be some new people waiting to meet you.
Until then, enjoy the weekend.

Series 3 is literally just around the corner - a week on Monday the first episode of the new series will be flying its way to you through cyber-space - and we've just been down to the set where they're currently filming. We just can't wait until the series starts, mainly so we can talk about the exciting storylines with you all and see what you think. Until then, we took a quick pic for you - a lovely one of Maisie (who plays Frankie) having a mid-filming spruce-up by Hannah, our make-up assistant. Could this possibly give you some clues as to what might be happening in series 3...? Where is she? Why is she dressed to impress? Have her hoop earrings got even bigger than series 2?
Keep it Cut-blog in the run-up to the new series... very very soon it's going to get very VERY exciting.

Okay, so we're about to let you in on a little series three story secret, but on one condition... you have to help us out in return!* Deal? Excellent.
The secret: In series three, Catherine gets to interview a celeb on the radio! Ooooohh...
The help: We don't know who we should get her to interview! There's just too much choice...
If you guys have any ideas which star you'd love to see Catherine grill, then post your suggestions here or email to thecut@bbc.co.uk and we'll put them to the writers. They can be as underground or as mainstream as you like, but do be realistic with your ideas - I was told Britney Spears did not fall into this 'realistic' bracket.
So I suggested I dress up as her instead.
Needless to say, the idea didn't go down too well. Can you do any better?
OAO,
Vicki x
*I did originally put that you have to send us a lifetime supply of chocolate bourbons, but Isla suggested that this may be asking a bit much.
When series 2 ending (ah... Olive) we promised you some sneak previews of series 3, some exclusive content that you can only get right here on the blog. As series 3 approaches faster than we can calculate right now, we thought we'd give you the first sneak peek to make up for that back to school feeling.
In preparation for series 3 the cast of The Cut have had some photos taken, which we're going to use to promote the new series. The photos are all fantastic close-up shots of each of the characters and we thought you'd love to see one of Elliott's (aka Alex), who has some great storylines coming up very soon into series 3. And as for those storylines. my lips are sealed!

How great was The Cut Music Special? Well I would say that given Vicki and I were both involved... but even without that I still thought it was a pretty special special. I hope you all did too. The best bit for me was hearing some important people in the music industry saying what they think about how we use music in The Cut. Plus, the performances at the end of the show were fantastic. A big thank you to Admiral Fallow and Smiler for making the end of the show really unique.
So, with music at the forefront of our minds and as we move speedily through the break before the start of series 3, we were wondered whether you had any recommendations of tracks you'd like to feature in the next series? Feel free to send over your suggestions in the usual way, either by posting them as comments, or emailing us atÌýthecut@bbc.co.uk and we'll read every single one of them, pass them on to the writers and production crew, and you may well hear your music choice being used in Series 3.
And of course keep watching out on the blog for a few sneak previews as the new series approaches.
