I'm a bit disappointed, I loved the fact it seemed like Alex liked Olive, I 'd be even more disappointed if it turns out Steven likes Alex back and they have a relationship behind Olives back :/

Oh my gosh! Recently I've stopped commenting the cut episodes at length but this was to much to resist. I'm literally jumping out of my seat with excitment. Literally. Firstly, WOW. This is the sort of storyline the cuts needs to keep it edgy and suprising. I didn't see that one coming. It explains the loose end of those boys bullying Alex and also why he's been hanging around Olive&Stephen so much when he knew he had no chance with Olive. Secondly, good on the actors! I know it was only a little peck but it's a lot to ask from a new actor who's friends are all probably watching. Great episode, can't wait to see what they're going to get up to with this story.

I can't Believe Alex likes Steven hope Steven tells olive. :/

OMG I was never expecting that, but i Kinda liked the Alex and Olive storyline, I'm not so sure about the Alex and Stephen storyline :S

Stephen closed his eyes and defenitly kissed him back, if he didn't feel anything he would have pushed him off straight away. Awww Stephen and Alex would be cute :)

OH MY GOD. Best plot twist ever? This series continually has me gasping with shock! I think Stephen and Alex would be a bad couple just cause Stephen is a nasty piece of work. I wish that Olive and Alex coulda got together though >.> Maybe something will happen that means Tommy will come back :) And Marla should go for Elliot...I used to wish Jay would come back but I don't like his bad side :/ I just want the best for all the characters I guess ;) x

i don't think there will be a stephen and alex relationship...i think stephen kissed him back more out of shock, i mean he couldn't of been sure that that was the way alex was going and going to do as it is alex and he does stuff all the time to get a reaction but i think its clever how they make alex gay cos you wouldn't expect it when you maybe would from stephen...remember mack jokes about stephen not being gay in the first series

He's really good!!! til now he just seemed like a stroppy teenager but the faces and feelings before he kisses him are sooooo good!!! can't WAIT til tomorrow i wonder where we'll go from here?? :)

I hope stephen dosen't uses this against Alex as that would be cruel,nasty and manipualtive. It would be nice if Tommy came back to help his brother as right now Alex needs someone he can trust to help him through this to make him feel comftable being gay as he is sooo confused and having a dad like his musn't help him either.

I don't think he's going to use this against Alex because you can see that he closed his eyes when he saw Alex coming to kiss him and slightly leaned in, if he didn't feel anything at that point he would have pushed him off ... i do think he loves Olive but i do think he felt something with Alex .... hmmmmm

i think by the end of series 2 everything will be out and I think Alex will freak out when people find out but i feel sorry for him. I think he is angry at himself for having feelings towards Stephen, when he can't help his sexuality and shouldn't have too.

Wow this is a really unexpected plot twist..
You could tell poor Alex was in agony all this week so far. That doesn't excuse that they were both acting like royal pains this week.
But I did NOT expect that.
I also think Stephen let it happen and even hesitated before he punched Alex!
Thankyou for the refreshing way, The Cut team, for not making Alex your stereotypical gay person (if that's what he's decided he is)

I don't think Tommy coming back would help Alex get through this at all, Alex obviously didn't want his brother around in the first place thats why he planned to get rid of him, he probably thinks Tommy would tease him or something.

But i don't think Stephen felt something when Alex kissed him since he punched him straight away. I think he was just surprised Alex did that and didn't know what to do but when the senses came back to him he punched Alex off of him.

Lola you're not the only one who feels for alex. I really feel for him and having none to talk to must be hard as none seems to trust Alex they all think he is a nasty piece of work. Stephen must have felt somthing as he kissed him back. Alex must be soo confused god love him.

Such a chuffin' marv twist, and explains so much about Alex, like why he went to Stephen in the first place. It's the first time I've felt sorry for him.

I love Stephen and Olive together and i do think they should end up together in the end but i want Alex and Stephen to have a relatonship just because they're so cute:)

its good the cut are doing something else coz if alex did like olive then it would be like loads of other programs where two guys like one girl and it would get boring. stephen didnt stop the kiss, maybe out of suprise, but he didnt react till ages afterwards though!

I'm surprised so many people say they weren't expecting this. I wasn't expecting it to be revealed when it was, but nearer the beginning of the series I thought that Alex being gay was the only explanation for his hostile behaviour and his helping Stephen. When it seemed like that wasn't going to be the case his character was becoming completely unrealistic (nobody's that evil) but now my faith in the writers is restored. :D

I reaaaly did not expect that, its a really good twist though, it makes me feel so sorry for him now cause he all alone, while before we liked it that way because he was a dick. Amazing turn of events though

The moment I realized? When Alex said, "I. don't. fancy. Olive" And I was like, alright mate you quite clearly do...(with a smugness that was my downfall)
And then Stephen, dear sweet Stephen, looked up at Alex with those beseeching eyes filled with horror and I was like, "No...No!" And then the no became yes when Alex swooped down and smacked that pecker.
I DID NOT EXPECT THAT. But it made me fall in love with The Cut just a little more....

I don't buy the Stephen retuning the kiss theory. All I see is Stephen being too stunned to react. It is possible that the script writers might take in in that direction but I hope not. Stephen has so far been one of the most interesting characters in that every he has done has been in-character (which still gives the script writers a lot of leeway). One of the faults of soaps is that the writers start messing with the characters and so make them unbelievable (eg Rosa). Stephen is an interesting enough character as he is.

Alex, on the other hand, has so far been totally unbelievable and no more than something to stir things up and to provide challenges for the real characters. That kiss suddenly makes his hostility to everyone logical. With a homophobic dad no wonder he is so screwed up.

Daivid I think you are right he was too stunned for that kiss to have any meaning to him but it did look like he returned it (even w/o feeling). Maybe it was my eyes deceiving me but we might find out next week. Alex's line in Friday's episode made me think twice about it: 'Stephen is the biggest liar of all'.
But if Stephen feels something for Alex right now I wouldn't believe it and write it off as ridiculous.

And tbh, I don't really miss Rosa. How come there was no mention of her whereabouts after she mysteriously vansihed?

aaah alex, after hating him for most of the series i just want to hug him now, stephen might be a bit creeped out but he should expect things like this if he goes round looking that good all the time. alex ♥

OMG i never ever ever ever expected that. I was just completely shocked. I did not see that coming at all! Alex is such an amazing character. You never know what he is going to do. I bet Stephen was really shocked...but he didn't pull away??????? Questions, questions. The Cut never stops being so amazing.

I only signed up for this episode as well. That episode was the best in The Cut i think. It just left you wanting so much more. I totally love Alex. You can't help but feel sorry for him. But it was still the biggest shock of my life!

Watching this episode, as Alex said i don't fancy Olive i was like ok calm down, you don't have to kill him. But Stephen's face said it all, and then suddenly he kissed him and i was just like OMG it makes sense now! Because of this episode, i have fallen in love with The Cut even more.
The Stephen returning the kiss theory is an interesting one and because they were literally like 'thick as thieves' then it wouldn't surprise me if it was true. Alex's only friend is Stephen and i can see why it happened. Alex is a fantastic character and i really hope he takes more of a centre spot next series. Stephen i feel will deny having any feelings for Alex, but you do have to wonder if he did return that kiss. Normally you would punch him straight away. For me it was a bit of a delayed reaction. Is there something there??
