Making Music Matter More

Hello, I'm Fraser.

If our paths have crossed before it's most likely to have been because I write the , but I'm part of the Switch department, which makes me an honorary Cut-atologist (Cut-erator? Cut-mando? Cut-tlefish?), and ideally placed to talk a bit about the music which is used on the show.

So, with this in mind, here's a little gift for anyone who uses Spotify. I've made you a playlist of songs which have been used in recent episodes of The Cut. It is, as you'd expect, quite a hotchpotch.

All the songs are in alphabetical order, and they're ALL great, even the ones you've never heard in full before. There's no trick, no special catch, all you have to do is have a listen and enjoy yourself. Or work your way down the list going "yep, yep, yep, heard it, got it...", and then get on with your life.

But if you wanted to tell us which one is your personal favourite and why, well that would be amazing.

Oh, and I should also say if you're in a band or you're a musician, and you'd like one of your songs to be considered for The Cut - or Radio 1, or 6Music, or your local ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Introducing show - you should have a look at ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Introducing's Song Uploader. It's a brilliant way to get your tunes out THERE.

Which in this case is, y'know, HERE.

    Hi Fraser,

Do you consider music from artists outside the UK? If so, is there a way we can send you music as the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ uploader doesnt work for non-UK artists.

    Cheers,
