Cameron blows both his trumpet and his chances with his beautiful brass buddy when Frankie embarrasses him, but the only person who's really having to face the music is Tommy when Olive tells it to him straight.

Tensions are running high between almost everyone in The Cut. Marla is less than impressed when Catherine reveals her money-making plans and the Fitzpatrick brothers have a head to head. Only Cameron seems in his element...

Well, three of the cast anyway. Lara (Marla), Alex (Elliott) and Deborah (Catherine) all popped along yesterday and posed for some slightly ridiculous but massively amazing photos in The 5:19 Show's area. Here you go...
Left to right: Deborah, Alex, Lara, Iain (cameraman on The Cut), Steph (Camera Assistant on The Cut). Maybe they were worried about being recognised...
By The 5:19 Bus...
Alex has a go at The 5:19's penalty shoot out. I think he missed. Don't tell him I told you.
There'll be loads more photos of the whole weekend up tomorrow (I'll let you know) and don't forget if you didn't get a ticket, you didn't miss out - it's all on bbc.co.uk/radio1

Everyone seems to have been affected by the Tommy revelation, but as Tommy gets ready to face the music there's only one person who doesn't seem too upset by the whole thing...

Helloooo and happy weekend!
And what a happy weekend it is not only becauseÌýyou canÌýwatch the latest episode of The Cut on the iPlayer, not only because we've created , but because yesterday The Cut celebrated it's 100th episode! Yep, episode 25 was actually the 100th one if you include those from Series One. IMMENSE.
The only dampener on the situation was the lack of telegram from the Queen. There was a small part of me that thought she'd make the effort, but I suppose she has more important to things to worry about (I mean, those curls in her hair must take a LONG time).
Anyway, hope you enjoy this week's episode... and here's hoping for another 100 episodes of The Cut!
OAO (That's 'over and out' for all you newbies. Still not sure it'll ever actually catch on. I should probably let it go.)

It's band audtion time, and Cameron's got the horn, but has he got the X-Factor? Meanwhile, it's show time for Tommy, and the spotlight's on the contents of his locker. This isn't going to end well...

Olive's in a forgiving mood, which is good news for Tommy. He'd better make the most of it though, cos the dark alliance of Alex and Stephen have made their move; There's something pretty dodgy lurking in Tommy's locker.

Billie (plays Olive) and Maisie (plays Frankie) have taken time out of their hectic filming schedule to send you this little message...
"Hey!!
From maisie and billie in the lovely countryside with love,
Wish you were here...
Also wish this was a postcard."
With Elliot's encouragement, Cameron takes a spirited stand against Marla. Go, Cam! By contrast, Stephen's got nothing but kind words for Olive, and boy, do they hit home! Go, Stephen!

Tommy is desperate to get back into Olive's good books, but he needs to find the right words. Maybe Cameron can help him out, he seems to be doing OK with Marla's friend Catherine. Hmm, on second thoughts...

Week 19 of The Cut was truly epic. Tommy tried to stop Olive doing that thing, then Rosa tried to do that other thing to Tommy, then just when Tommy was going to tell Olive THAT thing, Rosa came in and ruined everything!
Confused? Don't be. To find out what I'm raving on about watch the full episode again on the iPlayer.
Grant :)
P.S. If you love The Cut as much as we do, you can ... Go on, you know you want to.
Cameron gets a crash course in wooing from Frankie and it proves a little too effective. It's not so lovey dovey for Olive and Tommy, as he and Rosa race to be the one to reveal to her their big secret.

While Marla is enjoying her surprise visit from an old friend, the forces of darkness are moving in on Tommy and Olive: Alex and Stephen's plans take shape, and Rosa's cranking her charms up to overdrive. Stay strong, Tommy!

Hey everyone,
Al here. I'm the lead writer on the show. At the moment, we've got our thinking caps on for storylines for the third series of The Cut, and would love to hear your suggestions for different stories you'd like to see.
The stories can be as simple or as wild as you want, though alien abduction storylines might be one small step too far...
Do you feel the show is missing a particular kind of character you'd like to meet? If you could take any of the characters already in the show in different directions, what would those be?
We'd love to hear your views, so please email us at thecut@bbc.co.uk and you never know...your idea could be right at the heart of the future of The Cut!
Good luck,
Al
Tommy has stern words with Rosa, but that's nothing compared to what he's gonna do when he finds Alex. And with Tommy out of the way, Rosa gets to work on Olive's trust issues. This girl is brutal.

Do you rememeber when Alex, Frankie and Cameron first entered The Cut? You do? Good. Remember Alex bursting in? Excellent! Now, do you remember Matt Skillington's entrance? Hmmm... Let me jog your memory. You may recognise him as 'Boy in the playground' or 'Boy going up the stairs' or 'Boy going down the stairs'.... Still no idea?
Well Cutlets, Matt Skillington was a Supporting Actor in the very first episode of Series 2 and has put together an awesome video with his Supporting Artist commentary.
and you'll never forget his face again.
Tommy stoops to new lows to prevent his and Rosa's secret from getting back to Olive. Meanwhile, Alex's meddling scales new heights of dastardly, as he forms an allegiance with Deaconsfield's very own Dark Knight.

Our very own Maisie (Frankie) and Duane (Rory) were on Ace and Vis' 1Xtra show this weekend. Cut to 1:17 to hear them chat about bullying, tight jumpers, on set romance, and what it's like to be part of the Cut. Loving the way Maisie politely doesn't tell Ace that her name's not actually Frankie.
You can listen to Ace and Vis every weekend from 4pm till 7pm.

If you missed The Cut Week 18 on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Two, then don't cry, don't fret, don't sit on your own in the dark and draw pictures of what you think might have happened. OH NO. Instead, head this way and watch it again on the iPlayer.
In other news, Connor (plays Alex) and Wilf (plays Cameron) were just in Switch HQ for a script read-through, and I asked them what it was like filming the party scene. They said it was really fun, but apparently the director had to keep telling Alex off as his dancing was too over the top! I'll be searching for those outtakes... Let you know when I find them.

Ps. Only one week left to submit any photos of yourself that you want to be used in The Cut! More info this way...
With the party behind them, things are looking rosy for Tommy and Olive again. All they need is for Alex not to play the trump card he picked up from Rosa. Uh oh...

Just a quick little update to let you know that The Cut is officially taking over your tele box tomorrow (Saturday 8th May)! As well as watching The Cut omnibus at 12.55pm on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Two and at 5:30pm on the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ HD Channel, you'll also be able to find out which girl got the part in our open auditions in The Cut Special!
Yep, that's right. Me and Chris went behind the scenes at the The Cut Open Auditions to find out which lucky girl landed the female part, and we also caught up with Connor to find out how he's getting on with his new role as 'Alex'.
Tune in tomorrow - 1:20pm, ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Two.

It's the Bank Holiday Weekend! And to celebrate we've popped this week's episode of The Cut, in all it's 25-minute beauty, on the iPlayer (let's casually forget the fact that this happens every week, regardless of whether it's a bank holiday).
A few of you have been asking about Fin and Jay - just to let you know, the writers read this blog all the time, so if there are any characters and storylines you'd love to see more or less of, you can tell us about it and we'll totally take your opinions on board when planning story. So if you've got something to say about The Cut, let us know!
Lastly, don't forget that you could get your photo in the background of The Cut! More details this way...
OAO,
