Just a few bands from England
We could be writing for a very long time if we tried to tell you about every English act and what they鈥檙e up to in Austin this March, we could fill two posts about London bands alone, and if I run out of things to say next week I may wonder why I didn鈥檛. Never mind, I think its best if I just pick out some of the finer moments planned for the week of March 12.
The fun kicks off on Wednesday at Antone鈥檚, where Dev Hynes and his join , and in an eclectic mix which also includes New York鈥檚 and Glasgow鈥檚 .
At the same time at Latitude 30鈥 some of England鈥檚 best alt-country acts including , and join the at the Fat Fox Music showcase.
Day two, and the have their annual midday barbeque featuring and before the evening鈥檚 festivities including party, where featuring indie-folk group , and Brighton鈥檚 share the bill with sing-along anthems from The Pigeon Detectives.
If that鈥檚 not your how about the remarkable alt-folk styling鈥檚 of 成人快手 Introducing favourite Emmy The Great, who is joined at Latitude 30鈥 by Loughborough鈥檚 , and the fragile folk of .
Come Saturday, it's worth making your way back to Latitude 30鈥 for the event, featuring the ever bouncy Wombats, , the very English sounding singer-songwriter , and , who we think might be from Manchester, but lets not split hairs.
If that doesn鈥檛 tire you out completely it's also worth keeping your eye out for appearances from Richard Hawley, , Riz MC, , Adele and Giles Peterson鈥檚 favourite progressive death metal, shiny cloak wearers Chrome Hoof.
