What on Earth is THAT??!
Have a look at the image link below and see if you can identify what you are looking at. All will be revealed later. I think it's truly extraordinary. (One clue, this was filmed at - on Friday).
OK, I know I am meant to be telling you what's going on behind the scenes on the Springwatch production, but I just saw something in our edit area that blew my socks off and thought I'd give you a sneak preview (it'll be in tonight's show, nature and technology permitting). It's an opportunity for ME to test YOUR natural history knowledge.
And if you haven't seen this little trailer video on our homepage already, see if you can guess what intrepid cameraman Toby was out trying to film on the clip below? It's something that goes "&!!%£&*"?@?!" (can't quite spell it right ...) in the woods.
This is not a visual clue, but a SOUND one. One of the most extraordinary sounds in UK natural history. (A clue for this one - Toby is part of Simon King's filming team). Again, all will be revealed in tonight's show.
No prizes. Just a bit of fun. And with two wonderful wildlife nuggets as a pay-off, what Bill often calls "Springwatch classic moments".
So... what on Earth is that??!
