I'm the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's media correspondent and this is my brief selection of what's going on.

This is following Tuesday's announcement that the deputy director general Mark Byford is being made redundant. She too will not be replaced. Peter Salmon, director of ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ North, and Lucy Adams, head of people, are to leave the executive board but will keep their jobs. ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ staff have been told of the changes this morning in an email from the director-general Mark Thompson.

The ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ has announced that its director of marketing communications and audiences, Sharon Bayley, is to leave the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ, following yesterday's announcement that the deputy director general Mark Byford is being made redundant. The Sharon Baylay is on a salary of £281,000 and speculates she could be in line for an exit deal of up to £327,000.
