How clean is your MP - the full list

Richard Moss | 14:07 UK time, Sunday, 18 October 2009

ParliamentJust for completeness, thought I'd post the complete list of cleaning expenses claimed by the North East and Cumbria's MPs.

These were claimed for cleaning their second homes - most of which were in London but some counted their constituency home as their second one.

They come from the last published expenses which were 2007-8. 2008-9's list is due out soon.

Sir Stuart Bell appears to have avoided any action because he says he didn't claim at all in 2008-9 even though he'd claimed more than £2000 a year for the previous four years.

You can watch him on the Politics Show here, confirming that no MP will be able to claim for cleaning their second home ever again.

Now I'm leaving cleaning firmly alone. My own home needs some attention for a start, but of course I do all my cleaning myself!
