Glass Box Excitement

Post categories:

Eddie Mair | 10:25 UK time, Wednesday, 16 May 2007

is gripping the world. No sooner did PM launch The Glass Box on the planet than people are going Glass Box crazy.

will join us on the programme next week, and we hope, here on the Blog. It'll be a big treat for us all and we're very excited about it.

And NOW what's happening!

If only we could get the newsletter to go out on the right day, we'd have something.

Um, would you please ask all interviewees not to pound on the table (or desk) to emphasise their points? I can hear it when they do...

Eddie: What a brilliant idea! We could all come and watch you, Roger, Rupert, et al in your Glass Box - You could even charge an entrance fee!

It will be brilliant to have Anthony Gormley on the Blog - I think it's great the way he's getting art to engage with people, and I'm really looking forward to hearing more about rusting pen*ses.

I've got mondays newsletter twice. Must have arrive this am sometime.

    Can you post tonights, yesterday?

Bis Sis we just need a web cam in there so we can watch for free. After all that what we pay the license fee for.

P.S. I have received two copies of Monday’s newsletter today. I think it’s Wednesday.

Stewart M: No, no, I can't agree - a webcam is no substitute for 'live'. However, I have no objection to it as an alternative ........

Not sure, though, if it's included in our licence fee.

I have just had a bizarre morning - my boss has been convinced for the whole morning that today is Thursday (wishful thinking there I fear) and now two copies of Monday's newsletter have just arrived.

    I am very confused.

Isn't Antony Gormley's glass box filled with fog? Is this a metaphor for what happens in the PM glass box? I'm intrigued.....

I rather enjoyed anthony gormley on Front Row last night. Making Mark Lawson ( I think) climb up onto roof tops. Was he wearing a safety belt?

    Eddie,

Thank you for the two newsletters. Very useful.

DIY: Quite right in one way - you don't now need a licence to listen to the radio. But the funding comes, I believe, from the TV Licence pot, so it's there indirectly.

I am sure I posted this earlier....

Eddie...do we have to bring our own quilts?

I am spoilt for choice, will it be Thomas The tank, Winnie The Pooh or my new Spiderman one. Please let me know 'cos I will have to wash it first to get the stains out..fnah...fnah

....mind you it may have been on a different site!!

Missed the prog, but heard AG on Front Row...it would be great to have him on the Frog! Am in two minds about going to the Hayward; the idea of being in a cloud (physically as opposed to ususal brain fog) is quite enthralling. But somehow being in a cloud in a box is a little worrying!

Yes, Eddie, I certainly enjoyed the pictures. Is there a link to any website? I note that many Chinese have been watching on the internet .....

Mr. Cameron's on lunch duty. Lucky him! Two days in school - sounds like he's having fun.

Re Big Sister - they do loads of things for rust at Halfords - would probably work on Anthony's penis?

    Me too, permanently.

Didn't some showman/magician spend some time in a glass box somewhere? He thought he was the centre of attention in the centre of the world but I've forgotten who & where....

Jonnie (20) - regarding your link - love the way it says 'enlarge' below the photo....

And never mind the rust, what about the barnacles on his bottom?

Thanks again for the two newsletters - the one sent at 12:03pm on Monday arrived at 7:19am Wednesday, and the one sent at 1:28pm Monday, arrived at 7:12am Wednesday.

Looking at the headers, I'd say lists.bbc.co.uk is the most likely suspect for the computer that needs a kick up the backside...

And... er... David Blaine (sp?) ? Didn't he get there first?
