Were today's mass resignations a coordinated act, and if so, who was behind it? As usual the spotlight turns to Gordon Brown but, also as usual, he's nowhere to be seen.

Blair’s future, rightly or wrongly, seems to be on everyone’s lips (at least everyone in the media) and today's resignations suggest that this could be crunch time for the Prime Minister. So, what do you make of it all? Is the government in meltdown as David Cameron suggests or is this a small earthquake in Chile?
