Summer lawn care

Hi All

Even though we've been off air for Wimbledon over the last couple of weeks, as always we've been working very hard in preparing an action packed show for next Friday.

What a scorcher of a heat wave we've had this week! It's that time of year where many of us may start to panic if our lawns start to go brown, but don't lose hope as it will grow back! The best tips to keep your lawn green would be to resist the urge of using a sprinkler, raise the height of the blades on your mower - slightly longer grass will last longer in the heat and it's probably best not to cut your grass as often. We'll be doing the same at Greenacre.

This week we've been filming at RHS Rosemoor and Toby has been exploring planting styles to get inspiring ideas, which he will been trying out in his front garden at Greenacre - do tune in next week to see how it's progressing. While we're on the topic of front gardens, have we inspired you to revamp your front garden yet? Please do let us know how you're getting on, we'd love to hear from you. Why not post your photos on our page? We may feature them in the show.

Hampton Court is fast approaching and we're sure you're all just as excited as us to see the all new remodelled show. This year the four floral marquees will be changing to create one large space and allowing more nurseries to attend the show. The ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ will be covering the event throughout the week so do tune in and to find a full list of the schedule please go to the Hampton court website.

Hope you've been making the most of your gardens in the sun. Enjoy your gardening weekend.
