What a week!
Hello and good evening
This is a bit of a late blog, if truth be known it's because Rachel and I have swapped roles for this week as Rachel has to work on some very cool Sport Relief stuff that the show will be doing soon and I haven't adapted to the early starts that well yet!! Waking up at 4am isn't natural I tell you!
Sharon and Ozzy came on the show this morning. Last year they were our favourite guests and they didn't disappoint this time round either. You can always Listen Again if you missed, and then as you're listening to the show check out Sharon's video because she ACTUALLY ran the lap! Ha ha! It would have been perfect if I hadn't forgotten to time it! Oops.
Tomorrow on the show we'll be rating the guests. Why don't you reply to this blog with your rating and I'll collate the results and read it out on air.
In other news this week Wednesday is The Brits night - Edith will be on the red carpet doing links into Scott Mills' show and we'll be backstage getting interviews with everyone. That'll mean you'll be able to hear the best ones on the show on Thursday morning and this year, for the first time ever you can SEE them too! Just check out Radio 1 ONLINE during Thursday's show. I'm sure the videos will also pop up on our Facebook and Bebo pages too!
Finally on Friday (if I'm still standing) it's Chris' birthday. Aren't birthdays fun events! A time of giving presents which are gratefully recieved with affection! A time to bond with loved ones!.... Well, No, no and er... no! For Rachel and myself as producers it's the hardest show of the year. And one that we start planning sooner and sooner. It's absolutely no exageration when I tell you we had a conversation about Chris' birthday on our first day back in January! The trick is getting the balance right of it being cool enough for a Radio 1 show, but fun enough for Chris to appreciate without alienating the audience and which will make genuinely funny radio. Hmm, See our dilemma?

Hope you made it in nice and early today, did you remember to call Chris on time?
Loved the show this morning, Sharon and Ozzy are the shows biological parents! They were great to listen to as always, especially when Ozzy thought that you had dated Kelly! So 9.5's for the both of them!
Looking forward to Friday's show! I'm sure what you and Rachel have in store will be fantastic!

PS. Tried listening to the show again today, but the 'Listen Again' feature wasn't working and all we got was a guy telling us that 'This content is not available!' Was that because of Ozzy using the P word a lot?

Hi Aled. Hope you get enough sleep tonight so you're not late in the morning!
I would rate Sharon & Ozzy a 9.2 they were FABULOUS as always.

Great news on Chris' birthday coming up, that show is 'highlight of the year'.
