Thierry Henry doesn't like darts

Well hello there fellow horse lovers - it's my turn today and what a hilarious 48-hours have passed in the world of Sport and Carrie…

Found out ages ago there was a chance to meet the very french Thierry Henry. He's a bit of a legend even though I am supposed to hate him as a Chelsea fan - still I am an admirer of all things football and va va voom if you know what I mean. Well done organisers though - they managed to time his Reebok thing at the same time as the Arsenal were having their pre-season launch/chat to the world's media thing. So it was put back till half five so I went home to have a sleep first...

Anyway rocked up in the centre of town to this really small samba/jazz record shop - we got taken though there - very odd thinking what on earth is Henry doing here? Amongst lots of strange people bouncing up and down with headphones on - v bizarre.

Anyway so in we went - another 45 minute wait and then Thierry Henry appeared. He was very frank, chatting about growing up in a really tough area of Paris and how if it wasn't for his pushy dad he would never have got where he is today.

Michael Jordan is his hero and he loves a bit of the old b-ball though he says he's rubbish at it. He also doesn't like darts - he doesn't get it…and cricket he finds hard to understand..He says he has to move his body and sweat when he's doing sport - hmmm va va voom to you Thierry..

So we did this whole talk French thing with him, I really thought I would do ok - I have French AS level and stuff..But my accent or perhaps the grammar was so pants he couldn't even understand me! Brilliant - so all my French questions all about cake and tea fell flat! How rubbish is that!! So embarrassing with about 30 other journalists from around the world and a few of them were really French!

Anyway we had fun with him and hopefully now he'll give the Chris Moyles Show a try in the mornings. He was very nice at the end anyway and we shook hands and managed to get a photo taken with him..

I’d just like to respond to you Thierry though, in that Chelsea will win the Premiership for a third season in a row (sorry everyone - I know - cue loads of abuse!!!) Well done to John Terry getting the England captaincy - I think you'll do a fantastic job - bring on the Greeks!!! And good luck to the mighty Blues against Liverpool on Sunday. I'm going to be hot-footing it back from a wedding in Norwich to watch it in the pub!!!!

Anyway, the interview was hilarious Carrie! Your french is better than mine; all I know how to say it how various things are in the swimming pool - for example, la vache est don la piscine...annoyed my best mate a lot when we were in Paris for my 21st ;)

P.S - Off topic, but I'm listening to one of the podcasts so I thought of it, I don't fancy Brad Pitt or George Clooney either so I don't think you're weird.
