Annan prepare for the challenges ahead

I hope you are all well and enjoying the wee break as much as I am.

It's nice that we can still get our wee fix of football every now and again with the play-off for promotion and relegation, and, following that, the World Cup is just around the corner.

Everyone now knows the Scottish Football League line-ups next season, so the big thing for everyone to look forward to is the fixture list coming out.

My Third Division team of the year

I thought I'd blog about something a wee bit different this week as, apart from my end of season blow-out at the weekend, there's not too much to tell you about life in the Third Division this week!

The various player of the year awards have been announced during the last couple of weeks so with that in mind I'm going to give you my thoughts on a Third Division team of the season.

I'll ask you to bear in mind that I'll only have faced these players around four times this season so I'm expecting some disagreement.

Annan's season ends with a whimper

That's the season finally at an end and it went with a bit of a whimper for us down at Galabank.

finished off what was a disappointing season if we're honest, and saw us finish in a lowly eighth position.

As much as you tell yourself the opposite, it is always that little bit harder to get yourself up for a game when there is nothing left for the team to play for.

I think you could see that from on Tuesday night when Rangers weren't really at the races in the first half but turned in a much better performance in the second period.
