More travel chaos en route to Berlin
Another update on my travel plans...
12.35 Arrived at London King's Cross.
12.40 Walk to St. Pancras station to catch train to Luton. The capital seems to be moving quite well.
13.04 Board train.
13.45 Arrive at Luton Parkway and lug the luggage to the shuttle bus.
14.00 Hurrah! At airport and flight due out at 18.20 is listed on the departure board. Can't check in just yet. Now feeling much more confident.
14.15 Phone rings. Office warns me of a developing situation which might mean I'm recalled to Newcastle. I am ordered not to check-in just yet. Leave it to the last minute is the suggestion. Should know more By 16.00.
16.00 Monday's show is being changed. I will need to record new links. Only option is to go to Berlin and present Monday's programme from Germany.
16.05 Checked-in (PS This is the 3rd time I've had a boarding card in my hand, and on Wednesday I was on board the plane for two hours and still didn't take off, so I'm not holding my breath).
16.23 Through security. Snow is forecast for Luton. Oh dear...
16:45 Just heard that Berlin expects the worst blizzards for 40 years at 23:00 tonight. Due to land at Berlin airport just before then... hopefully!
