Chris is back in Blighty
I finally got back to the UK on Tuesday January 12 after a whistlestop tour of mainland Europe for a story that I hope to be able to tell you more about in a couple of weeks time.
The upside is I got to see some fantastic sights of in the snow.
With next to no wind the rows of white roofs with the odd chimney puffing out a whiff of smoke from a coal fire was a stunning view as I headed south by train. Elswhere virgin white fields bore the tell tale footprints of the routes that normally use as they traipse around their habitat. I'm coming over all sentimental in my old age.
But now I'm back it's all hands on deck for the new series. On Monday January 18 we're getting stuck into the vexed question of potholes. I'm sure it will spark some comments.
I know a road near me which was only laid a year or so ago is pitted with holes. And that was before the recent freeze which always exacerbates the problem.
Monday's show will reveal that we have some of the worst road conditions in the whole of England. Find out more at 7.30pm on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ One.
